This site-specific art project was born out of the desire of challenging the space and the “audience” of the ENSM of Paris, not used to this kind of event, to host and experiment contemporary art. Reaching and involving this unusual public is the target.
The idea that leads the whole project is to operate into the space without transforming its character, with a series of simple interventions that interact with objects and people speaking their own language.
It’s been decided to avoid the addition of extraneous elements, and we’ve chosen mimicry as the strategy to follow. New messages mix with the pre-existing material imitating and/or using it: the medium does not change, but it gives out an unexpected message. The viewer has to discover it among the everyday ones.
